newsflash: one of my house-mate also has that pair of futuristic converse!! Aarghh!
I escaped to Jakarta today. Bandung was getting a bit too overwhelming for me.
First of all, the rain made the streets puddly and puddly streets makes my shoes and feet wet and muddy so I can't wear my pretty shoes because it'll get dirty, and because of the rain everyone is catching the cold and spreading it on to everyone else including me, and people who are sick tend to be more annoying than their usual self.
Second of all, the deadline for the upcoming student newspaper is September 24th and I have done virtually nothing on my writing(s).
That is why I thought it would be nice to spend the weekend here, while I can still find time to escape.
So, we went to the mall that's near our house(MTNOH), and I found that there's a second mall that's near our house(SMTNOH). The SMTNOH is fancier, kinda like the mall that's near my aunt's office (no need for an acronym since I'm not going to mention it again). They have Mango, Zara, Longchamp, and all those expensive boutiques which didn't really interest me, actually (here is another example of my self-denial). But actually, I would've been interested in some of the flats from Zara if it weren't for my stupid No New Shoes Until 2006 resolution and for the fact that most of the flats come in suede when I have enough important things to do than to brush my shoes after every usage.
Anyways, I also searched for that Complete Guide to Digital Graphic Design Book and found none. What I did found was that graphic design books cost approximately 1/4 to 1/2 million rupiahs. Thus another fact to support my No New Shoes Until 2006 resolution (NNSU-2006R, in case I mention it again in later posts).
Highlight of the day: I found my old-time favorite Minnie Mouse t-shirt from 6 years back, and it still fits!! Hurrray!
Another highlight: new flip flops from Bali!! Hurrray! (this is flip flops, not shoes)
