000 // Test Entry

Hidan wrapped his fingers around the shaft and tugged, wincing and cursing as it scraped along several bruised organs. A few crimson flecks hit the ground as the tip emerged from his chest with a wet squelching noise, and he threw in an additional “shit” for good measure before climbing to his feet with a grunt. Blinking, he looked around, ignoring the mangled corpse lying a few yards away.

Where the hell was Kakuzu?

“I can’t believe that bastard,” Hidan muttered, moving over to where his scythe lay abandoned in the grass. “No patience. No damn respect. Seriously.” His berating went on for a few more seconds, ceasing only when he had slung his weapon across his shoulders and begun to scan the area, as if expecting Kakuzu to pop out of a damn bush or something.

Not likely.

But it wasn’t like Hidan didn’t know where they were headed. If the man had actually left Hidan stranded here without a clue of where he was…

Five hearts or fifty, I’d tear out every fuckin’ one of ‘em.

Glancing back, Hidan used the position of the lowering sun as an indicator of which way he was supposed to go.

Wait. Sunset? Huh. The ritual must have gone on longer than he thought.

He turned his back on the orange-tinted horizon and began to walk, something like “greedy heathen” slipping out between his teeth.
