So the new job is working out pretty well..
They gave me a laptop and my own cube.. the people in the office are really nice and laid back, nothing much to stress about.. the jobs isn't TOO hard either.. there used to be a file format called .boo (bookmaster) and these files (guides for a software called CA Endevor... lots of guides...) get converted to rtf then to word.. the conversion screws up formatting (ie bullets, lists, etc) and my job is to rebuild these docs, as well as apply the new standards to them. Got a dual monitor set up in the cubicle, so it's pretty nifty.
My supervisor and everyone else in the department are really cool. So far, I've been doing pretty good.. faster than they expect me to do.. at least that's the impression I got from last week.. anyway..
I drove my rents and brother to the airport today.. at 6am... theyre going to puerto rico -> virgin islands cruise for like 10 days.. bastards.. but I DO have the house to myself.. too bad my hours don't allow me to stay up til 4am drinking anymore...
The company is definitely solid though.. I can tell people there make a decent living after some experience.
