I figured a nice dinner with Michal would be a fine way to celebrate my upcoming birthday... and when I think of sitting down to eat at a restaurant, my mind immediately wanders to Italian food. I've always liked Olive Garden, with their delicious breadsticks and their pasta standards, so that would be a logical choice. But Olive Garden is so... franchise-y, you know? Anytime I'm there, I'm aware of the fact that it's not real Italian, it's casual-dining Italian.
So I did some web searching for local Italian restaurants, checking out reviews and perusing menus. But pretty much every place I found was either too expensive, or looked too fancy, or had odd-sounding dishes I'd never heard of before. I don't want to go out for my birthday and end up spending too much money for an unsatisfying meal. I kept clicking around, and finally found a place that serves Italian food with plenty of items on the menu that sound good to me, at affordable prices, with a casual atmosphere.
The restaurant is called: Olive Garden.
