(no subject)
Went for a run with my boss this evening (yeah, sounds weird..) he is a fitness freak and I am so unbelievably unfit at the moment :( But he was good to me and was happy to run/walk at my speed...even when I had to stop THREE TIMES during the run. Major suck! I used to be so good at it! But lucky me it started storming when we were halfway round the parkland running track so we had to cut it short :D hehe! I was secretly relieved.
and what an awesome storm. He was freaking out about it & I was all excited like the queenslander I am!!! We love our storms...I still remember when I was young - whenever you heard a storm coming, the TV would go off and us kids would sit at the window with the best vantage point and just watching the storms in all their storming fury! :P
..actually while we were running in the storm tonight, I think at one point the lightning might have hit a bird or something because there was a big explosion looking thing in the sky rather than the usual zig-zag to the ground! doh! :( definitely an unlucky week for birds....
I got home feeling like the world's laziest person. All I wanted was to be sitting on the couch watching something on the tele :D Is that so wrong? But after an inspirational phone discussion with my sister about fish making your brain bigger, I managed to drag my arse down to coles to pick up some dinner. OMG cheapest meal EVER! the basa fillet was only $0.98!!!! and the boys were at trivia so no need to be worried about them. BUT SO CHEAP! WOOHOO!! :D so I thought I'd try my luck at lemon-pepper fish with salad. Fish + lemon juicey stuff from the bottle + cracked pepper + salt = the BOMB! Apparently I should have got salmon though for the brain expanding thing..I didn't really understand, she was using medical terms on me again. I also got some soy milk from coles, I really like it! I think it's my flavour of the month..
PS - does anyone else find it a bit wrong that the new captain snooze (I think it's captain snooze) TV advert has the song "mad world" playing in the background. Let's see, the lyrics for the main chorus are "I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad - the dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had" lol. I am pretty sure that's the only reference to sleeping in the whole song HAHA
And to finish my entry on a positive note - I want to slap that american tennis commentator in the face. IN THE FACE I SAY!!
