I will be 20 soon,and I think it just really hit me.
After this I will be expected to be an adult.
I will be expected to be proper and responsible and polite and decent.
Tonight was a night I dont want to forget,me and nadz chased stars across the sky.When one vanished behind the clouds we would be panicking till another popped up.
I kept watching till one star was left,alone in a sea of clouds.
I decided then.If I can just keep chasing stars,I dont have to grow up.I made a wish upon that star.I made a deal.
If it lets me keep myself,I promise to always look for it in the night sky,the 3rd star in orions belt.
It will never be forgotten or ignored.
I just want to keep myself.To keep myself safe from the world.
The world that eats away at you bit by bit,until you dont care anymore.
I dont want to become that.
So please,my star,let me keep myself in you.Up there the world cant reach it.You will keep it safe.
