This past Sunday was my Easter.  The Greek Orthodox faith celebrates Easter one week after Passover.  We have the weekend of Passover as our Palm Sunday.  It was a low key celebration.  I met with my folks and sister's family at the church where we had a luncheon there.. after coming home and changing into more comfortable clothes, I visited my sister's home for a while.  Still, it was nice to hang out with the family.

I got my passport today!  Yay!

I paid enough to get a new passport by May 5th... we'll be going to Santa Monica again to the Greek consulate so that my folks can bequeath their land to me and my sisters.  Let's hope that things go better than last time.  I won't hold my breath though!

My aunt and uncle are visiting from New York.. they've been staying with another relative for the past week in anticipation of this weekend.  My baby sister's son will be baptised on Sunday.  ::bouncy::  We'll have a family get together at my cousin's home on Saturday.  My sister, who lives in Washington, thinks that she'll be too tired to visit the cousin's luncheon since it's a hassle for her son after their flight.  So, we'll get together with my sis and her family on Sunday.

I already requested to take Monday off work to take care of the land in Greece.  I already told my boss that I'll probably be calling in sick because only ONE person in my department can take time off at a time.  Somebody else had requested May 5th off before I asked for it.

Oh!  Also, someone in my department was walking around, asking employees if they were interested in transferring to the collections department.  I'm not thrilled with the move, but it's more experience under my belt.  If you thought that my schedule was nutty now.. it will be worse when I transfer.  My supervisor's husband works in the collections department and she told me that collections has a bunch of mandatory overtime... and they are sometimes required to come in on Saturdays, too.  Since I'm single, I'm not too worried about working that much.  In fact, it will help me with my finances for being paid time and a half.  :)
