WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD - READ AT YOUR OWN RISK
Hey guys I am back with my latest review. Jaan-E-Man. Starring Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta.
The trailer and promotion of this movie had me a tiff. I had no idea what to expect. The synposis also was very mysterious. And for a good reason I am happy to add.
Jaan-E-Man is an average storyline which I will explain to you now.
Suhan and Piya young love at college. Suhan a aspiring rock star and Piya his lady love always by his side. Tagging on behind them is the not so hip and cool Agastya. Lovingly referred to as Champu. Champu is also a Piya fan in more than one way. Although soon is left heartbroken after seeing Suhan and Piya together. Heartbroken and devasted Champu leaves the college.
Suhan and Piya continue with their love story. Soon after college they elope and get married. Although their marrige soon starts to intefere with Suhan's dream of becoming a superstar. So in order to pursue his career Suhan divorces Piya. Piya silently still deeply in love leaves for New York with her brother.
Many years later now Suhan is having trouble paying of Piya for teh divorce. The only sollution is to get her remarried. And that is when magically the angel Agastya enteres back into their lives. Suhan thinks of a mindblowing plan of setting Agastya up with Piya in order to solve Agastya forever love for Piya and his own divorce problem.
And so begins a journey of a teacher and student. Agastya is in pure adoration for the smooth and sleek effect of Suhan on the ladies. He wishes to learn exactly.
So that is the basic outline of Jaaneman. I leave it to you to decide as to who gets the girl.
The specialness of Jaaneman lies in the way it is shot. Shot such a play. The lighting changes in an obvious way in front of your eyes such as it would in play. I cannot explain it further then that because it is so difficult.
Performances of all cast are of excellent quality. I think we all know that all three of them are great actors and therefore it doesnt come as a suprise that they perform well.
The music is a pure delight to the ears. Anu Malik does a great job. The album is popularly endorsed by the every so lovely voice of Sonu Nigam. And also Kunal in a special track. My favourite tracks are "Bro" "Humko Maloom Hai" "Ajnabi Sehar" ....basically all of them.
I would recommend this movie to all. If not for the story line then for the amazing way that the story is brought to screen. Do no fall for the publicity because it was terrible. But the movie is much better and therefore it comes as a dispointment that the publicity didnt do it justice.
On the whole Jaaneman is a lovely comedy romance that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
4/5
