While I sit here trying to think of what to write for this final journal entry I thought it only appropriate to discuss this class as a whole! Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this class! My favorite aspect of it all was the teachers of course; I have yet to find any instructors that can match the team of Angel-Cann and Gunderson! And a combination of all the little things in this class such as the need “for some angel-cann” or the reference of “four score and seven hours ago” are what is going to remain in my mind when I think about this class (maybe not what the instructors wanted but so be it). I plan on taking the second half of this class without a doubt! This class tailors to my exact preferences. I say that in the sense of where I fail in English topics, I can succeed in History ones, and vice versa. Also, while I may be a decent writer, I hate writing papers. So getting credit for an English class that typically writes five papers, and only having to write three really makes me happy. I also like that fact that all the writing assignments that we do, are related to the history that we are learning in the second half of class. This combination not only makes it easier to write about these topics, but also reinforces our knowledge of the said topic. I am most glad that I signed up for this class and look forward to the remaining half of the class!
