Steadfast is not afraid - yet. Why should she, when she's about to retire to her quarters for a break from busywork? What could possibly happen to her there?

Thus, she is calm as she opens the door...

Wingblade freezes as the door hisses open. She holds still as Steadfast clears the doorway, then...

With a loud mock-war cry she sprays silly string all over Steadfast, giggling loudly.

It's not that easy to surprise an experienced Seeker, normally, but then Steadfast hadn't been expecting anything to happen.

Which earns her a first-hand refresher lesson in the dangers of dropping one's guard, if getting one's body all full of sticky stuff can be considered dangerous. "Wha-?"

"Ha! Got'cha Mama!" Wingblade dashes around the room in a bit of a circular path. If Steadfast makes to follow her and gets out of the way of the door, Wingblade will dash through and the chase will be on. If not, Wingblade will end up glomping her. Either way Steadfast will be dealing with a giggling winglet.

Steadfast gives chase! "You little...!" If only the corridors weren't so narrow - Wingblade has the advantage here, being slightly smaller.

"Gotta catch me, Mama!" She twists and turns through the corridors, laughing delightedly.

"Just you wait!" Steadfast actually starts to sort-of have fun chasing Wingblade (in as much as there can be fun chasing someone inside a building, rather than out in the open sky), though she wouldn't admit it. Can't encourage misbehaving young Seekers.

Wingblade laughs, then turns into a side corridor. She then ducks into an open doorway, and is out of immediate sight by the time Steadfast reaches the corridor. She waits quietly to make her move...

OOC: *cuddles!* *Then tries to blow the fuzz out of your brain*

Steadfast enters the corridor, on the trail of Wingblade...

Wingblade listens to Steadfast's steps, silent as she stands in the darkness of the room. She waits until Steadfast reaches the doorway, then...

"Wah!" Pounces! Unless Steadfast moves to dodge, Wingblade glomps her, laughing.

Steadfast is pounced and glomped, getting over the surprise quickly to smile at Wingblade. "You've developed some nice sneaking-up-on skills."

Wingblade giggles, optics glowing with triumph. "Had to, Mama. Sneaking's good for lotsa things." Such as pranks, or getting the drop on an enemy. Have to get in close to use those swords, after all.

"I see." Steadfast hugs Wingblade close - in a dignified manner, as it is her wont, but there's no hiding that "beaming with maternal pride" aura.

Wingblade grins and snuggles in. She raises a hand and brushes some silly string off of Steadfast's chest. "We should probably wash this off..."
