summer evenings

so we sat around outside on the porch, enjoying the music the neighbours make (a combination of an accordion, a guitar, a fiddle and some vocals), talking, drinking beer.

and a bug fell in my beer.

i felt like one of those kids they talk about, who will keep drinking a glass of milk even if there's a cockroach floating in the glass.
