It bothered me

so, there were many supporters of the various candidates on the roadsides today. ok that's fine. Not so fine with me, were the Bush people who had their children out holding the Bush signs. It's not for me to say how they should parent, but I personally think it's wrong to keep children from school to promote something they have no understanding of ( Read more... )

good point, I didnt see any school age children, I dont know how a parent could do that. Pull them from school to act as a sign, I did see a little baby with a Bush shirt that made me sad too, like a puppet.

look forward to seeing the new photos with you dog also.

Conservative views tend to be the ones instilled in "family values and traditions"... which is why I think you see more Bush supporters imposing things on their children than Kerry supporters. Also, the nature of liberals tend to be, uh, liberal, meaning they tend to be more tolerant of their children's own ideas.

How many liberal families give birth to one child who becomes a conservative? It's not that likely, in my perspective. Also, one of my friends is only 14 and she's smarter than a lot of adults when it comes to politics, and she is liberal.

thanks for sharing your thoughts with me.
it will be interesting to see my 10-year-old's views on politics and life in general develop. i am quite liberal and his dad is very conservative and traditional now, he wasn't as a teenager. we've been divorced for several years now.
