Nope, haven't finished New Moon yet. I admit, Bella's moping has made me very unwilling to keep reading, but I will get through the book before the movie comes out, I swear. :-) And I really want to get to know Jacob better!

I was reading a Twilight message board the other day and found this discussion on writing a book. I thought it was so funny ( Read more... )

harry potter, twilight, hbp movie

Hey, it's been a while and I wanted to say hi! :) I actually rented (for free mind!) "Confessions of a Shopaholic" from the library out of morbid curiosity, and it actually wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be--I mean it's not the book (although there was a surprising amount of stuff from the books there!), but it's still kind of cute and nice in its own right....

Oooh, did you ever finish NM? I did think it was better written than Twilight, and it's my favorite of the trilogy (I am rather partial to Jacob though, and like how Bella acts around Jacob better than how she acts around Edward). Did you see the movie?

Also did you ever see the HBP movie? If so what did you think? I actually really liked it, despite hating the book....I even thought H/G was kind of cute! ;)

Hi Sherrilina!

This must be some kind of record, answering a comment after nearly two years! So sorry I didn't reply before, I've just not been here.

As for Twilight, I gave up on that. :-P Just couldn't finish NM, but I have seen all moves except the last one, which I'm not that keen to see, based on what I've heard about the book online. I do like the three movies, though.

So, what's up with you? I remember that you used to talk about Merlin, and I've finally got the first season on DVD. I've watched a couple of episodes, but so far I'm kind of lukewarm about it. Haven't found a character yet that I could obsess over, lol! :-D

Have you seen Downton Abbey? It's one of my newest obsessions.

Hey! Lol, yeah I thought I was a late commenter sometimes, but I guess you win! :p. Welcome back, I was wondering what had happened to you...

As I said in my other comment, I do watch and love DA, while I've cooled a lot on Merlin (I actually have yet to catch up on the current season, I only saw the s4 premiere). Now my main shows/fandoms are Supernatural, Doctor Who, The Borgias, and The Vampire Diaries (which is no Twilight, much better)--do you watch any of those? I've also been watching Being Human, Misfits, Torchwood, and other British shows--Merlin was my gateway drug, lol. Funny how fandom interests can change so much in just a few years.

I'd be interested to hear what you thought of the last film--I thought the L/S was decent at least, the minimum I hoped for going in...some really beautiful imagery in some of the flashbacks, makes me wish I could redo my L/S vid now...;). Also speaking of HP, I actually just visited the HP theme park last week while in FLA for the holidays, and it was so awesome! :D

I actually first planned to get the Borgias for Christmas, but ended up choosing Merlin. I'll definitely get the Borgias soon. I've seen a trailer and read a bit about it. How does it compare to the Tudors?

I'll definitely post a review once I've seen the last HP movie. Although I must admit I have seen the R/Hr kiss already - several times. ;-)

Ooh, how great that you got to visit the theme park! Did you taste Butterbeer? Or get a wand? I'm dying to visit, but it's a bit far for me. I heard that they're opening some sort of tour of HP in Leavesden studios in London, and I'm thinking of going there if I visit London next summer. :-)

Aw, shame then! Hope you can try The Borgias soon...so you have seen all of the Tudors then? I forgot! I did watch and love the Tudors, and I'd say that s1 of The Borgias is definitely better/stronger than s1 of The Tudors--less gratuitous sex/no irrelevant gay sex plots, more compelling and interesting characters, IMO, higher production values, more of a cohesive arc. If you liked The Tudors, you should definitely check out The Borgias! :)

Yes I did try Butterbeer, it was delicious! :). I looked at wands but didn't get any, though I did get a Ravenclaw House scarf...;). So you're in the UK then, right? That would be cool if they oepned up the studio! Also, did you ever try to register for Pottermore?

The Borgias sounds great! I do love the Tudors (haven't seen the last season yet), but I'm not a fan of the gratuitous scenes etc you mentioned. Hopefully I can get the DVD soon.

I'm not in the UK (I'm in Northern Europe), but I'm hoping to visit London this summer. I've actually looked into some Butterbeer recipes online, but it's a bit hard since we don't have cream soda here and it seems to be an important ingredient. :-)

I did try to register for Pottermore but it was a bit confusing. Did you get in?
