Yay, I got myself some new DVD goodies! I felt I deserved a treat after plowing through a very busy start of the term while sick (I'm better now, thank heavens). I got the 2007 version of Mansfield Park, and yes, I know it supposedly sucks and changes the fundamentals of the story, but it was on sale and it has the oh-so-handsome James D'Arcy as Tom Bertram (I don't think I need to point out which man he is in this pic - but I would like to point out that Fanny on the right looks like a rebellious teen from the 1950s ;-).
I also got the
2006 BBC version of Jane Eyre (with Toby Stephens and Ruth Wilson), and I can't wait to see it. I'm very fond of the
1997 version with Ciarán Hinds and Samantha Morton (please bring it on DVD!), so this'll have to be superb to live up to that, but I've heard lots of good things about this version. And another period drama never hurts. ;-)
Oh yes, and I'm saving up for an iPhone...yeeehaaaa! :-D
