Another gem. I liked your Anakin thinking of Marit and Ferus, tying all his dislikes into one string of hate, including Palpatine along the way. And of course Padme, delicately reconstructed only to perish again. This was touching and I've always maintained that the horror element of Star Wars needs exploring, good!

I think there's a lot of potential with Marit. I mean, Anakin totally made one of his snap judgments and believed in her and it just got him captured and barking up the wrong tree. And I think that probably had far deeper repercussions than people usually write about -- but then The School of Fear is my favourite of the Jedi Quest books, so I'm biased. XD.

I'm glad you appreciated the element of horror. There's something so eerie about those bacta tanks, but I just can't put my finger on it.

Thanks for reading! ♥

You're welcome. I'm driving LJ's crack_van for Star Wars this month, and I'd like to rec your Anakin/Padme 1sentence fic.

I agree about the bacta tanks, it seems something like hentai, that smothered claustrophobic feeling. Or maybe it's the icky sensation of swimming in partially-set jello.

OMG! Icon ♥ (Because I never really realized how much clone wars!Anakin did look like a chipmunk - it's like he got his wisdom teeth removed right before he and Obi-Wan went off to war! XD)

And sure -- rec it if you want to ♥ *is flattered* (And now I'm checking out previous recs -- yay! new reading material! :D)

Probably a bit of both, though I'm leaning more towards the smothered claustrophobic feeling at the moment -- though maybe that's just because it's overcast here. XD.

There's a beautifully done eeriness to this piece, and a lovely look at his headspace, and how this kind of thing would happen. Thank you for writing!

God, this is just so bleakly gorgeous. The Force coming together, if you will, to allow Anakin to take form once again kind of reminded me a little of the start of Tolkien's Silmarillion and his descriptions of creation and spirit coalescing into the beginnings of the heavens and Middle Earth and... oh, I'm really showing my geek card now, aren't I? Hehe.

I especially liked

He never loved her the way she deserved, though he always thought he did. He knows that if he truly loved her, he would stop now before it’s too late. But his love for her has always been, and will always be, unhealthy in all the worst kinds of ways.

because it's such a true observation. Absolutely lovely.

OMG! I haven't thought of the Simiarillion in years. Seriously. I never realized how Buddhist it was till you brought it up...wow. I'll have to re-look at it with a more critical eye last time -- the first time -- I read it, I was really taken with the tree or whatever it was, so I really didn't think about the rest Thanks for giving me some food for thought! and...heh...dude, I think we're all geeks, yeah? XD

Anyway, I'm so glad you're liking this! :D

Also, I think Anakin's unhealthy ♥ for Padmé is part of what makes him such a fascinating character. It's like we're enculturated to think love is good and then there's Anakin, and his love just hurts, and I think at some level, he knows this, and it just makes it worse. (And that's why I just want to pet him and make him hot chocolate XD)
