weekend update
I had a pretty good weekend
Friday we were supposed to see the band Cake in Baltimore, but my allergies were really kicking my ass and the hubby was not feeling well either so we skipped the concert and stayed home. When we got home from work we went to the basement/rec room and watched TV and pulled out the sofa bed and lazed about and ordered Chinese to be delivered. It was so relaxing and nice!
Saturday we got out of the house to visit the downtown location of MB Klien (the toy train store) for the final time before it moves to Hunt Valley. There was pretty much nothing left for Richard to buy! They'd really cleared it out. So, then we went to the MVA to try and get his DL renewed but they close at 12:00 WTF? Work Much? it was deader than a door nail at 3:00...ha ha ha
so with that failed chore we decided to go to Parkville and get huge glasses of fresh squeezed lemonade at pit beef stand we love and some yummy french fries doused in vinegar! So good!
We had our first thunderstorm of the season and a downpour! Love thunderstorms!
We drove through the city again on our way home.
Saturday night we watched "Where the Heart Is" on AMC which stars Natalie Portman it is about the girl that lives in a walmart and gives birth there...it was a good movie but I've NEVER seen a channel that puts so many commercials in the movie. I was PO'ed that the movie was stretched out so long! so at 11:00 at night I decided that I had to have some ice cream. We go to Giant because it is a 24 hour store...nope, on Saturdays it closes at 11:00 *growl* and plus at the liquor store next door there were a bunch of rough looking young guys acting like they were going to fight or rob the store, so we literally ran to our van and got the HELL out of there! Scary!
We then went to McDonald's cuz they're open late, well apparently they shut down the damn ice cream machines early!
then, we ended up at 7-11! ha ha ha and got the BEST flavor of ice cream EVAR- Unconditional Chocolate by Dove-it was so freakin good!
we ate it out of the carton on our way home he he. then we took it up to bed with us!
Sunday was Mother's day of course so we went to the MIL's house and took hubby's mother and neice to Lowe's to get dirt, mulch and plants to spruce up their backyard. Then I went home and decided that I'd had enough of my crappy weird little separate gardens and I took up the plastic borders (which were soooo infested with ants!!!!) and dug up a new wavy shaped garden!! my butt, legs and feet HURT today! but as soon as I'm home from work I'm going to get out there and finish up the digging (sigh) and break up the dirt clods. Hopefully I'll be able to plant new things tonight. If not it will have to be tomorrow night.
Then I watched the season finale of Survivor and poor Yau-Man did not win. Dreamz suckz azz I hope people boo when they see him on the street. He's taken over the spot of number one survivor person I hate from the stoopid Johnny (curly haired blond twerp)
