Tuesday Tired
Guten tag,
I am so tired today! from the moment I got into the office today I've been running around changing flights, dealing with people who say that they don't like their hotel. When you ask them why they don't like it the answer is "it is ghetto", I tell them that you can't just say it is ghetto and have that be taken seriously. So they finally they say that it is loud because of a Waffle House behind the hotel with "boom boom boom" music going on, and oh, it's messy, moldy and loud.
I'm also tired because last night in ceramics we got to make our own clay! It was great fun but physically exhausting. there is a recipe you have to follow and you dump different 50 pound bags of clay into the mixer and let it mix all around, then you add "slip" which is the super slippery clay. you add that in by the bucket load, scooping it out by hand and then you add clear water and let the machine mix your clay. After about 10 minutes you have nice new clay just for yourself. You scoop it out by hand until you have a grocery sack sized amount and you take it over to the mixing table and throw it down,pick it up and throw it down again. you repeat this until you have a nice square block of clay. you repeat all of this until the clay is out of the big mixer. Then you have to clean out the mixer by scraping the edges and scooping out the dried clay so that it is clean for the next group to use the mixer.
We also started working on our project for this week. I'll have to go in and work on it Thursday after class. I think it will be fun.
