Tim. My boyfriend is in Germany visiting friends for three weeks. He sounds like he is having a fantastic time. I love getting his emails; he's been learning German, and his (english) grammar is getting progressively worse. Here's an example from his latest email: "I have to invite the Eva and Kristina now" I am finding these errors especially interesting because of my second language syntax class. I am quite enjoying the class, actually; our professor lectures on tuesdays, while thursdays are more dission oriented. this is the first class I've taken where our prof spends a significant amount of time disscussing what we don't know. In fact it seems that most of what we learn in my other classes (excepting phonetics, for obvious reasons) is theory or assumption. Dr. M. is a fantastic speaker, and she provides her lecture notes, so that we can actually pay attention, consider ideas, and come up with questions. There are twelve people in my class. Huh. Well, that wasn't where that point was supposed to go. The point was this: I miss Tim. Terribly, in fact. People keep saying oh, well he'll be back soon or the like, and yes, while this is actually true, it is also true that every day that goes by feels like ten when he's not around, and yes, I am in fact that besotted.
Ancient Greek is kicking my butt. So. Many. Conjugations! Declensions! Cases! Vocabulary! I have already filled two packs of index cards with vocab, and people on the train think I'm crazy because I use the time (3 hours a day!) to study and I have to actually say the words out loud or I can't remember them. Also, midterm on thursday.

Brandy Alexander. It's stuck in my head. I don't really mind though, because I like the song, and I haven't actually listened to Feist in a while.
Had dinner with H (my little sister) the other day. Great conversation, lots of laughter, and great food.
Assignments. I have three due thursday. YAY. Speaking of which, I better get to work!
