Big Brother goes hi-tech
http://www.news24.com/News24/Technology/News/0,,2-13-1443_2074780,00.html

Anybody remember the movie "Minority Report"?
Anybody remember the book "1984"?

Are you frightened yet?

"Most of the cameras widely used today are used as forensic tools to identify crooks after-the-fact. But the latest breed, known as "intelligent video," could transform cameras from passive observers to eyes with brains, able to detect suspicious behaviour and potentially prevent crime before it occurs."

Now, in the hands of a crazed dictator like Herr Bush, this could be a problem. He's already proved his intention to take away our civil rights. I'm not a conspiracy theory nut, but I would not be surprised one bit if:
A)He invoked martial law and stopped the elections so he could stay in office until the war was "over"
OR
B)Jeb ran for president. That family has already proved efficient in cheating and lying. I wonder how many voting machines would develop bugs or how many states would need recounting if Jeb were to run?

""If you think of the camera as your eye, we are using computer programs as your brain," said Patty Gillespie, branch chief for image processing at the Army Research Laboratory in Adelphi, Maryland. Today, the military funds much of the smart-surveillance research."

Does it surprise anybody that the military is funding this research?

Heil Bush!
