Some of you are gamers. Most of you are women. Lots and lots of you are wonderful people who believe in empowering women to chase their dreams.
Here's one of those chances:
the_jetgirl is raising funds to finish "Dreamtime" (working title), her choose-your-own-adventure video game. She's been a game designer for a few years, and is the primary breadwinner for her family, so for her to realize her dream of finishing this game, she needs the support of strangers.
This is a Kickstarter program. You pledge a donation, and if enough people pledge donations by the deadline (February 1), then you donate whatever you pledge. (Payments can be provided through Amazon, if you're worried.) the_jetgirl still needs to raise almost $4K in the next few days, but she's over half funded. There are no floors on donations; you can pledge as little as you like.
You might want her to finish the game. You might want to see more women in the video game industry. You might want to see more women get to do what they love.
