Here we go
Well, I finally broke down in the empty abyss of my boredom and created a live journal. Hurray for jumping on the band wagon! I figure that I won't have very many posts seeing as I'll probably forget this even exists. I want lots of people to post their comments and opinions though.
Your probably thinking "whats up with the live journal name?" Whats in a name anyway....alot(letters and stuff like that.) Well the word Praetorian is the word that describes a praetor. Praetor is a rank used in classic Roman society for someone put in charge of civil justice. I like the idea of a Classic mindset. It seems to be something our generation has lost for a long time. The entire concept of honor or loyalty seems to be impossible to explain to people this days. Its like shouting in a hurricane. In the past honor was the only thing someone truly owned. Honor was the only thing that you had control over. It was something worth dying for. I do believe that there are some that still hold themselves accountable with high standards, but the majority of the world today is only in it for themselves. "What can I do to get a quick buck?" ; "What's in it for me?" No one seems to care anymore about who they trample on if it means they get ahead.
Well, anyway I didn't mean to rant like that, but it's something that bugs me a lot. Thats why I like more traditional cultures. Well, I think this has been long enough for my first entry. Off to the wonderful world of drumming!
