I’m trying to lessen the gap between updates that I’ve been showing lately ^_^ Things have seems to have subsides for a moment but although it may only last that precious moment I’m grateful to be able to take a breather. I’m still picking up Logan from school every day but my Mother is escorting him in the mornings to save me the trouble of digging out from under my grave of blankets and pillows. Yesterday Logan actually made a faux pas and asked me if I would take the neighbor’s kid (a creepy fellow who makes my hair stand up in agitation) home every afternoon since he lives next door despite him knowing full and well how much I hate the bugger. I almost replied with a very rude retort but Logan had seen ahead of this event and made sure the kid was standing in my doorway to overhear anything I might’ve said. His family also owns the puppies that I’ve been Mothering as of late. With the similarity of someone standing over me with a gun to my forehead and demanding I eat a bowl of spinach I shot him the “go to hell” look and snarled that I would.

But thank goodness for Mommy! I complained a bit to her about how Logan pretty much forced me into this situation she stalked off to find him and gave my precious sibling a little work over. So now he’s been reassured that making me be a butler isn’t going to work out. Though I’m not sure if I have to take the kid home or not still…

Yesterday was pretty relaxing. I was supposed to go to work really early but my Mom put my awakening on hold and made me wait until the workers had finished renovating her offices. I left to what I thought was a late start but when I arrived they were still working on the trim. The workers are Mr. Rick and his son, Tanner. My Mom insists Tanner has a crush on me but I can’t tell for certain or not. He just seems like a nice guy. I’ll give him credit and say that he’s one hell of a mechanic and I put faith in everyone else’s opinion that he’s one hell of a pitcher. He’s even going to college free with a baseball scholarship and has dreams of being a pro. So since he’s kind to me I wish him luck ^_^ Not like he’d even know I did because when we talk it’s slightly strained on my part. Being shy doesn’t make for easy banter. Normally he has to say something to me first or I just walk past with a smile and a ’how do you do’ nod.

After working for a few hours I picked up Logan and went back home to wait for Marle. She had asked to do a photo shoot a few weeks ago and we decided today was the day to get around to it. When she came over we pilfered through pounds of makeup, found props, shirts, shoes, and the location itself and headed on. We only changed into one shirt though and never messed with our makeup beyond just putting it all on the first time at the house. I only brought one pair of black shoes so I didn’t have to worry about them. I suppose it was really too hot to worry about it because our hair was sticking to us and all our hard work to straighten everything failed when our heads started to sweat. We got some good pictures though ^_^ Since this attempt was successful I imagine there will be more to come and they’ll probably get better when we get more batteries for the camera, other locations, and the weather cools. I think one in September would be fantastic.

We also drove by this field with an emaciated horse in it. I’ve been extremely bothered by the sight of it since then and I even dreamed about trying to feed it some hay. I’ll probably go sometime today and try to get pictures of it. Even if I don’t get a reward for turning in an animal cruelty case it’d make me feel better knowing that a good pet wouldn’t be destroyed by someone’s carelessness. Of course I’m hopefully that they’re a family who takes in abused animals and rehabilitates them…but is it wise to depend on that hope and just let things slide?

I don’t think so.
