For lack of better description I’m freaking updating at last! I’m not sure why I’m going days in between posts but the habit appears to be steadily present. I still owe a girl on my RPG board a post but I can’t muster the inspiration when I write a full page on Microsoft Word and she only writes 2 mediocre sentences in return. When I write a large post I expect one in return. But I suppose it’s necessary; I don’t want to be kicked off the board.
Other than my posting “dilemma” there hasn’t been much lately that I’ve been doing. Most of my time centers around going to KB’s apartment or hanging at some random location with Marle. Evidently my parents have finally decided that it’s time they adopted her so now when we go inside my house they go, “ Our daughters have returned! Go to your room.” Although Lovie suggests that it’s her room we really know whose it is. ‘Tis mine! Though I guess I bought my bunk bed in special thought of her staying over and I did get her a pretty pink XBOX controller for her use only. The next step is buying an extra set of things she needs at her home and then stocking them over here for days she randomly decides she wants to stay xD It’s not like it bothers me. Normally I’m a standoffish person and require excessive time to myself but in her company I remain mellow and amused. I pick on her and she picks on me…the balance is maintained. I can truthfully say she’s the one person who I can stand being in my presence for hours upon end -hearts-
As I mentioned earlier my other activity has been KB’s (that’s Kendra and Brett you ninnies) apartment. There have been man fruitless attempts to play DND so I can finally reach level 2 but I’ve noticed that every time I come over there are too many distractions to start up. Last night I thought we really were going to play because the map and dice had been pulled out but we ended up making Brett [the Dungeon Master for that round] ill and he went outside to smoke. After that Marle and I decided it would be time to go since we had to be home in an hour anyway and we packed up out stuff and wandered to our cars. Sorry about making you mad, Brett ;_;
The night before that was pretty entertaining in itself. Marle and I met at KB’s apartment in hopes of playing DND (another failed attempt!) but ended up watching the tail end of Jurassic Park 2 instead. Not that I really minded since Jurassic Park is one of my favorite movie series ever, ranking right up there with Terminator and my beloved Dawn of the Dead. They mentioned something about the Glades but since I’d traveled up there a couple times already I didn’t expect to make the journey yet again. However their door was knocked upon and when they answered several people came pouring in, one of which I somewhat recognized to be a guy I had messaged back and forth on Myspace. I wasn’t certain though and kept my mouth shut. The other two people were Rocky and Eric, both of which I was familiar with (well at least on my term of familiar) and before I knew what was happing we had all abandoned the comfort of the apartment and were deciding who was riding with who. It was at that moment I concluded that I was indeed being whisked to the Glades. Anyway my sister was going so what else did I have to do while everyone was gone? I rode in the “mystery guy’s” car with Kendra and Marle where I was torn between asking him if he knew who I was or if I had mistaken him for someone else completely. It became obvious that I had the right guy in mind when he revealed that he remembered information on our Myspaces so my questions faded into their own pleasant blur and I remained quiet for the rest of the ride.
The Glades itself turned out to be a pretty eventful place. Normally nothing happens but we spent several minutes chasing down an odd blue light that kept appearing in different places around the church yard and in the cemetery. Chasing lights in a cemetery…smart I tell you. I kept getting exasperated because we were drifting further and further away from the safety of the cars but since they were parked just in front of the dark church porch I wasn’t willing to stand there by myself. Brett and Johnny heard a shuffling noise between them when they bravely marched ahead and ended up hauling ass back toward us, resulting in a multi-dash with everyone stopping, running, shouting, and running some more. Marle, Kendra, and I courageously dove into Johnny’s car without him and waited for the others to catch up. They did and decided to investigate some more. I personally thought it was a bad idea to taunt the dead but I followed anyway. Side note: When you live in a pretty spooky house with lots of bad history you learn that the dead can really kick your ass when provoked.
We indeed investigated and remained wired the entire night but eventually we packed up and left. Then we returned to KB’s place and amused ourselves by watching the recorded version of our adventures. I will add that I was slightly confused as to why I was freezing the entire time when everyone else on the tap was red-faced and in obvious discomfort from the heat; I was bundled in jeans, a t-shirt, and Brett’s hoodie jacket. I breathed on Marle at one point of the séance because she was getting red but she jumped and informed me that my breath was ice. My hands were also uncommonly cold. I kept touching people’s faces and hands because the brief warmth would take away the tingling in my joints...though I was aware that doing so too often could get irritating so I resisted at some points. I was cold the rest of the night even in the confines of my own room.
So that was the adventure! I’ll try not to neglect my blog so much but with college just around the corner that in itself it hard. I also have to start waking up early to take Logan to school. It starts August 8th…bummer.
