How Sweet of Them
And today I was reminded why I love my friends =^.^=
This morning started off slightly untypical being that I had 2 diet cokes within 2 hours of my classes when I normally limit myself to 1 (caffine free at that) a day. I guess fate was punishing me or something o.x Anyway I was walking with Marle from the lunchroom when I heard this metallic sound hitting the tile but I guessed it was just someone dropping their money so I didn't bother paying attention to it. I caught it about 3 times while I walked to government class and then I promptly parked my lazy ass in front of Coach Bragg's big window to sun like I do every afternoon before class begins xD It's nice and toasty there.
Anywho Becca came up to talk to me and suddenly pointed at my neck and told me not to move. She pulled my necklace chain from my collar and showed me that the clapse had broke and my precious charms had fallen off of it. They were my lucky charms! I had gotten them from my Mother on christmas morning about 4/5 years ago and I've _never_ taken the necklace off other than to exercise. I even take showers with it. Also on the chain was my 8th grade class ring, which although I never wear it, it has a sentinmental value. So I ran out of class, realizing that the metalic sound from before must have been the sound of my charms falling off the chain.
I actually got queasy thinking about somebody walking back in the hallway, picking them off the ground, and the pocketing them for later. Those things obviously meant a lot more to me than I intially thought. I ran into Mrs. Elliot's room just in case they had started falling off there because I didn't see them in the hallway, and after finding Kortni she offered to help me look for them. We were scoping down the halls hoping not to get busted by some bastard teacher when she found my ring way off on the other side of the hallway...so that was a relief. I put that on my ring finger and spotted something that looked like my moon charm...and it was so mangled that I just supposed someone had stepped on it and it had been crushed. SO feeling discouraged I told Kortni just to head onto class. I figured the sun had been destroyed as well.
However! I went back into Coach Bragg's class and after a few minutes this boy handed me my real moon charm! It had fallen off in the floor. We looked for the sun charm as well but we never found it. So by the end of the school day I was officially one charm short. But I felt better knowing that at least 2 of the 3 were found and returned to me.
Then Kortni came by to watch Ron White's comedy DVD (which we ended up having to rent because my Mom had loaned it out :\ ) and she handed me a little Wal-Mart bag. When I looked inside I found a little charm box from the jewelry counter and there was a fairy charm inside! I was actually really suprised that she and Becca were thoughtful enough to get me another charm. And at the moment it's safely on my necklace (that I repaired earlier this evening when I got home) and I keep looking at it.
So that was really, really nice of you guys ^_^ Thanks a ton! The charm shall forever be an addition to my necklace.
I also got Zoo Tycoon 2 -squeals in joy- Like I didn't have enough distracting me from my work. Ah well! Tee hee! TIME TO PLAY!
