Another thing that's getting to me about the Left Behind books has to do with the praying. I expect the characters to pray a lot, since this book is about God and Satan and the Tribulation. But at various points in the books, some of the characters get themselves in real trouble. At that exact moment, some of the other characters get an overwhelming feeling to pray to God to save them. It's like God is saying "Your friend is in real trouble. You should pray to me so that I'll save him." What? Either God isn't powerful enough to save him unless more people pray to Him, or God has a minimum number of prayers attached to someone before He will help them. What kind of God is that? I'm not buying it.
