Gallifrey Report- Part the last!
Sunday!
Photo with Paul McGann day!
We were pretty relaxed today since we were to wear costumes that had been made for last year, and are easy to get into. The longest bit is me slicking my hair back and sticking contacts in my eyes.
We planned to get in line to take pics with the genuine console from the TV movie (wonderfully restored by Paul Salamoff and honorarydoctor, since we were in those costumes this day.
So we sort of took our time waking up, getting ready. Well John, in his Eight costume, had gone down earlier. And he calls us and tells us they want to take the photos of us at 9:30 before everyone else (room opened at 10:00). We were already awake, and they’re not hard costumes to get into, but we’d been lounging watching a cupcake show (I think. I’m pretty sure we were watching Food Network, and I know we watched a cupcake show sometime during the weekend 8D), so it was more of a mindset change to rush into the costumes and run down there.
And since we had time, we took a silly pic too.
After the pic we were asked if we minded being on line duty, and to be in photos if wanted. We had no plans so, line duty it was! It was a lot of fun seeing everyone’s costumes coming to take pics with the console. And the console itself was a beauty, I want one.
I met a lovely Curse of the Fatal Death Master while on duty, so to speak:
Then we toddled off to see if Roberts was signing, he was! I always feel like a fool going up to people I’m dressed as.
He was super nice and charming, but for the pic he went on his tiptoes (I had no idea he’s so short!) and leaned over my shoulder and breathed deliberately creepily. I was like “...........”
Then Lyn was awesome and got me my photo with Ashbrooke, who has become one of my favourite guests.
Guys. This lady. She is always extremely enthusiastic, polite, charming.
She’s just a lovely human being.
And for good measure~
Theeeeeen (actually, it may have been before but whatevs) was McGann pic time!
We were actually first in line.
Which was nice because while they set up, McGann was there and chatty!
He loved our costumes and said “I wish we could dress like this everyday. I feel costumes are a more accurate representation of ourselves.” And I don’t even remember what John said back I was just thinking “.... it’s fun? I feel like you’ve made it too deep XD”
Plus here I am dressed as The Master, so what does he think that says about me?
But you know, it's nice that he's not weirded out by it. And his voice is just so soothing...
I still need to clean up that scan :/
But my eyeballs stayed lined up! I adjusted them in a mirror before my turn and was just like "Don't blink. No, really, don't do it" while I waited.
Then we wandered the lobby pretty much for the rest of the con

We hit closing ceremonies and basically had a wonderfully sedate night.

Missed getting a photo with all of us in the room, John already left to catch his flight, but my lovely roommates and I on Monday before parting ways <3
