Whoa, so without being able to take cell phone pics, I don't feel like posting ;_; I didn't really realize how MUCH I did that, until I couldn't (seriously, lots, I post less than half of them).

Anyway, with the exception of handsewing forever on silvernaofficer's outfit, I've decided to clothes make for myself before any costuming. And then I'll have something

As someone who FrankenPatterns on a regular basis, it's not terribly difficult. Think of it as half of the work being done for you.

Muslin will certainly be your friend, however, as well any fabric that is cheap and disposable.

Personally, full-on pattern DRAFTING is my fail zone.

Oh no, difficult is not at all what comes to my mind, we haven't sewn together a whole lot so you don't know my process 8D;;

Ahaha, see, I usually draft my patterns. I don't like using commercial patterns, because they confuse me.
So it's not using patterns that's scary, it's the directions.

Plus I don't like them for the same reason I don't often do mockups, gotta cut everything out twice (or more, if you do a mockup), and I'm too impatient to put that effort into a costume >.>;;
