Gaiman

So I didn't post about this 'cause I thought you wanted it to be a surprise kiralikescake, but since you did I guess not :P

So on Saturday there was some madness going on.
Gaiman was doing three things in the area, we opted for the free one (also one of those things was private) in Palo Alto. And since we decided to go, we'd been talking about haaay picture?
For those not in the know, 'cause I didn't repost to my journal at the time, Gaiman linked to the awesome sauce Sandman shoot in his journal that ziggybecket did (<3! You're a meanie but ilu anyway 8D).

In all this talking we kept putting off e-mailing Gaiman himself re: signing a pic, and then kiralikescake NINJAS IN the day before and got a reply.
Also things that maybe-shouldn't-have-been-put-off-but-worked-out-anyway, Ellome grabbing mognetcentral on the way.

Anyway, there was madness trying to get the photo printed (uuuh, why does it not read my usb thing? Seriously, it did last time I got photos printed at a different store...), and frames, and fabric, and being directionally challenged(my fault, sorry 8D).

And he read chapter five of his new book The Graveyard Book, which sounds sort of cute (you know, for a graveyard book), but I enjoyed his non-reading speaking more.
And he broke his finger in China, so excused himself from general signing (though, I was under the impression he wasn't signing anyway at this stop). BUT, with kiralikescake's secret knowledge gained from e-mailing, the Harper-Collins lady took us to meet him and give him the framed photo (arranged to perfect parallelism by mognetcentral) and get the photos which we printed signed. He also was totally awesome and signed kiralikescake's book which she bought that day.

(So that's her photo, not mine, but it looks exactly the same 8D)

And then more madness was had by calling ziggybecket and informing him we're storming his castle (thanks for oden~~).

(The surprise part being that we had copies for each of the Family which got signed)

The end.
