Well, of course it'd say to leave the ship! I would, too. Even if no one could.

Because the ship's falling apart right? But we can't leave the ship so shouldn't the computer say how to fix it?

Sometimes they can't tell you, so you just have to listen very closely. Ships take good care of its people.

So, it might be saying something other than what shows up on the screen? How do I hear it then?

You have to listen to everything. The lights dimming, the air getting cooler... you live inside the ship; of course it will talk to you. Sometimes it will be a beep or a broken wire. Sometimes a spark to say what's wrong.

Sometimes you'll just have to go down and listen and figure it out yourself. Some things will feel right, and some won't.
