it's not dumb to be selectively racist. i think a lot of people are. i'm... i don't know. i think i'm in the same boat as you. and i sometimes feel like a hypocrite when i tell people to stop being racist even though i am myself. there's a facebook group that is something along the lines of "if you come to australia, learn how to speak english" and that has actually defined my life for the past four weeks. i don't particularly love uni simply because EVERYONE in my course, absolutely EVERYONE, has black hair. it's ridiculous. none of them even make the effort to talk to us. they find people from their own country and talk to each other in their native languages which really pisses me off. like, i know that having a degree from melbourne uni will get you far, but COME ON. you're in australia. learn english, please.
i'm still undecided about aboriginals. yes, i know that they are in a lot of trouble, but well... you could say that they brought it upon themselves? i know, i know, they have their own culture and the white australian sort of invaded it, but instead of whingeing about it, they should just progress into the 21st century, in my opinion.
oh and the new evermore song is fucking AWESOME. i still can't get over the peroxided blonde hair, but other than that, love love love.
