My friend M called last night to let me know that she was finally able to get us some tickets to the Packer/Buccaneer game when I'm visiting her later this month! Apparently the seats aren't that great, but they're free, which means they are great seats to me. Combine that with my $10 fare (thank you, frequent flier miles!), and I'm saving a ton of money on this trip already!
This game will be a far cry from the last one she and I saw together: Brett Favre's final game on Dec. 30, 2007 at Lambeau. We payed a ridiculous amount of money for scalped tickets (so ridiculous that we both vowed we would never tell anyone how much we really spent) and froze our asses off (literally...I could not feel my ass the entire way home), but had an awesome time.
Since she and I only get to see each other a couple of times a year, we usually try and celebrate our birthdays when we're together (hers is in June, mine is in October). Combine this with the possibility of tailgating? Yikes, I'm going to have to build up my alcohol tolerance a little more before I fly down there.
