I seriously don't even have words for how much I love this piece. I love the tragedy of their 'amazing' lives, and the ways in which they know themselves and don't and the complicated relationships and the little hints of backstory and the shifting POVs and how no one is really happy (though Spencer is happiest perhaps, even though his life is the least glamourous) and basically I have to stop talking because I want to go back and read this again.

Oh, doll, thank you so much. I'm so happy you enjoyed it and it worked for you. (Especially the shifting pov's. I'm trying to practice them for the bbb I'm writing).

The back story! I don't know if it's sad, but I totally have one for everyone even though this is just an oneshot.

Spencer, is easily the happiest. Or maybe content in a way none of the others are.

Funnily enough, this started life as an au where Spencer was Cate Blanchett, Ryan was Brad Pitt and Brendon was George Clooney (I have this theory that Cate Blanchett is the only person able to make them into actors rather than movie stars). But then I started writing it and I realised Spencer couldn't be an actor. It just wouldn't work. But he could be in a tiny cult indie band with Dallon and Ian while Brendon and Ryan and everyone else spin around in circles in Hollywood.

I really, really enjoyed this. It was so beautifully written, and the way everything came out rather than appearing instantly was wonderful; really great. Thank you so much! It's a lovely, lovely read. ^_^

User verbyna referenced to your post from get-well cards saying: [...] the ending (which is a pause, really, because it never really stops in this business). Read it here [...]
