T-6 My last weekend!
Between a bad karaoke version of Madonna's "Like a prayer", tacky floating hearts from a ceiling, and a man I would take with me to NYC in a heart beat, I finished my last weekend in PR It wasn't that I had shitty decoration for my good bye party, lol... it's that I went to my favorite hangout with my pals, and call it perfect timing (or not) it coincided with their Valentine's Day Party. The place was full to capacity, had to many guys wearing red, but a good time was had by all.
It's been really fun, I've been reminded how much i'm cared for by my friends, but at the same time reminded of life's funny ironic side. I met this great guy, who I noticed many moons before @ the Halloween Party. My indian fantasy "per-se", lol. It is mostly because of his costume at the time. A furry mulatto cub. Call it shyness on both our parts or just idiots, I finally got the nerve to say hello. What the hell I'm leaving in a few days, so I had nothing to lose for trying. Right? We had a wonderful evening, talked, drank, flirted, and... The next morning we quite agreed it was two bad none of us got the nerve to say hello sooner. We've talked since, but reality check NYC. Argh. ARGH! Life is a bitch sometimes, definitely someone I would spend my time getting to know better to explore the many what ifs life had in store.
Before you say well just travel back and forth, I don't think long distance relationships work for me, let alone him. I will make it a point to keep in contact with him for sure. Edgardo will definitely at least become a good friend! That's all I can ask for at the moment. REALLY GREAT GUY! Argh!
Other than that, I'm really psyched about New York! I now leave on Thursday the 21st. I'll arrive by noon, and have a few days to get used to my new surroundings before my work orientation on Monday! I want to start working already! I'll be staying in the Bronx over my cousins house while I search for my apartment. I still have to officially pack my bags, but most of what I had to do is done! I will miss PR and the many people I love, but it's time for my new adventure to start. PR will always be my home, and it will be just a 3 1/2 hour trip away.

Ahhh freezing temperatures await! NYC here I come!
