Ooh yes! *bounces*

Jack taking a chunk out of the old dog, I love it! And he's completely correct. Cruger does have too much going and needs that rehab just as badly as Charlie and her team and he can't keep up with trying to do better for others if he is unable to do so for himself.

I love Jack's lines and thoughts in this. Did Cruger have a mom he could insult or something? Hee! That's just awesome.

if i had a 'Jack rulz' icon, i'd totally be using it right now. guess red bridge will have to do *snerk*

YES. I am so glad Jack isn't a completely unsympathetic character in this scene ^_^ Cruger sometimes seems like one of the most driven, impulsive, narrow-minded role models a group of young impressionable cadets could have (hmm, where did Sky get that from?!) and I just want to be like, "Look, I'm sorry you didn't want to be their icon, but you are, so could you please set some sort of standard for basic self-respect on your base?" o.O

(♥ Cruger anyway)

::giggles:: Red Bridge totally works for me as a Jack rulz icon, oddly. I think it's the morpher. Power of RED!

Good point on Cruger being a role model. He certainly had moments when he was less than a stellar example. ugh! *headdesk* What the heck is the name of the ep where he snaps at them just for talking in the command center? I should know this! *iz bad fangirl*

But anyway, you get the idea. I think Cruger tried a little too hard a little too often to be their 'commander' and not their 'mentor'. There's a huge difference between the two.

Hee! I love our red SPD boys! Which just happens to be all of them! *lol*

*stares at Red Sky under Red Bridge and sighs happily*

::clears throat:: I actually haven't seen all of SPD? And it drives me crazy when people use this as a reason for their stories not being very... canon, or something, but I'm just saying--I am the last person to think you are a "bad fangirl" for not remembering an episode title ::grin::

Red love! ♥

God, it's so easy for me to forget that. Probably because SPD has been over for a couple of years. It tends to make one not realize that not everyone hasn't seen it. Tis easier to remember with current on-air shows.

And it drives me crazy when people use this as a reason for their stories not being very... canon

That too. You don't necessarily have to see all of series to write for it, just enough that you get to a point that you know the characters. I haven't seen hardly diddly of current SGA, but I still feel comfortable in writing certain characters because I have seen all of seasons 1-2. What I write may well turn out to be 'not canon' for the current season, but would be in terms of canon history.

Besides, I prefer to write not so much for the events in a story, bu rather the characters interactions. Huh. Odd, in some ways. I'm more comfortable writing drama-ish fic for sci-fi series than I am in watching actual drama TV shows. Maybe I'm just weird? lol.
