This is what they meant
As much as I hate waking up early (if you know me at all, you know that "hate" is the understatement of the century...they haven't yet created the word to express my dislike of not sleeping in), I realized this morning that I was looking forward to coming in for my internship today. I was excited but nervous last week, and I've been mostly excited this week, but this morning I was pretty pumped to come in, knowing I had another manuscript to work on.
This is the most surreal experience of my short life. I was so used to hating the library and the old biddies I worked with (yes, I loved my buddies there, but being a supervisor sucked BALLS) that I didn't realize it was possible to actually like what you do.
Now, we're all going to collectively knock on wood, because I don't want to jinx myself.
ALSO: I'm going to a special screening of "Once More With Feeling" (musical Buffy episode with creepy dudes) tomorrow in the city and I'm so so so excited! Allison and I rented season six so we could make sure we were familiar with the surrounding plot. Yeah we're nerds. You love it. Anyway, we decided we wanted to dress up gothly, although I'm not really sure I've got anything that would work. Oooh maybe I'll wear my fancy black dress! Hmm. I like this idea. Now I'm going to have to convince Allison to dress up too, otherwise I'm going to risk looking like a tool.
