I'll wait all night for you...
Yeah, so I'm home now...FINALLY.
Yesterday we ended up in Key West, which in my professional opinion was no fun a'tall. We got lost b/c there were a bunch of random one way streets and we got lost in the not-so-good part of the island. No worries though, we stayed at a Days Inn right at the exit to the island. The hotel had no wireless, so I called Scott and somehow managed to have a decent conversation with both him and my mom for the better part of an hour. This morning we got up and headed out, and that's where the fun ended for me. Something about constant getting up and going while I'm at school, followed by a 3-day "break" of constant getting up and going - not good. My mom is constantly under the impression that because I don't enjoy being locked in a car for hours on end, I must not like being around her. No, that's not quite how it works, but if she feels like pitching a fit, that's fine with me.Nah, she really wasn't that bad. In fact, I actually found myself enjoying parts of the ride back.
I have also decided that Florida wildlife is none existent. We drove through the Everglades Thursday, and today we drove through the Everglades National Park (a 3-hrs drive, mind you), and all we saw were bugs and birds, and my mom would argue butterflies too. She says that because butterflies aren't ugly, they aren't bugs. W/e Mom, w/e)
I really wanted to go back to Lakeland tonight, but 1)it's more practical to wait until tomorrow, and 2)my mom refused to take me back anyways.
Oh well, I'll be back noonish tomorrow, and it'll all be okay. So much for resting over fall break.
