The Claidi Journals
This is a book by Tanith Lee that I picked up at a used book store for cheap. The cover had a cute youngish girl and some steam punk looking hot air balloons. It's an odd fantasy type novel featuring a young lady rescued from a life time of vicious servitude by a dashing and indifferent nobleman/balloonist.
It's really very silly and I'm enjoying it way to much. One reason I enjoy it, is because it is written as though it was in fact a copy of the journal this girl kept during her adventures. The writing actually kinda reminds me of posts made by my friends on their live journal.
