On the Tucson Atrocity

A lots been said about this rampage, how our language is too vitriolic, how we need more gun controls, more regulations, more monitoring.

Most of the commentary has been self serving, which I'm okay with, as humans, we are far too flawed to be objective over something like this.

I've reviewed the incident, and frankly don't see any real way to have prevented it without turning the United States into a giant prison with every person living in their own little padded cell.

I would like to make my own personal self serving comment. I have had personal and extremely negative experience with people who abuse marijuana. I know, from watching friends and relatives of mine who use this dangerous drug, that it WILL corrode your mind and make you more prone to acts of violence.

Now, that's not to say that one puff makes you a maniac, no more then one drink makes you an alcoholic or one puff from a cigarette will cause lung cancer. But I do know, that if you use marijuana on a regular basis over a long enough period of time, that it will destroy your personality and leave you a psychotic wreck.

Just like the one who shot Gabrielle Giffords.

Maybe there's a good reason why that crap is illegal, you think?
