Oct 19, 2011 10:26

So, here comes the prompt list. Better late than never and shorter than ever. Folks, these prompts are gorgeous. They are so pretty that I want to abandon my Cultural Studies books and spent the day writing, which is a bad thing, but also good because, awesome ( Read more... )

I have no idea how I'm going to do that. None at all. It's probably going to end up being a horrible mind-fuckery.

So if you've got any suggestions....

But I like horrible mind-fuckery :<<<

UHHHH. Maybe she goes off the deep end and is like "what's the worst that could happen it's not like he's the worst person I've ever met" and he makes sense (that's what scary about SPN!Lucifer -- he makes so much sense) and she's just really angry at everything and is pretty "yay kill everyone"

and idk idk this is pretty OOC and I am running on two hours sleep

It makes sense, though. Sort of. Just not sure how to get Buffy off that deep end.

Also: Poor you. Find a bed. :)

Ohh! What if something happens to Dawn (post everything / pre-Luci) and everyone but Buffy forgets. The Scoobs start to edge her out because they think she's losing it. And she does.

Ohhhh, I actually played with something like this before but it went nowhere. If i add Lucy... I think you might be on to something. Thanks!

I remember a lovely BTVS / Neverwhere (Neil Gaiman) crossover, called Forgotten Girl. Are you familiar with Neverwhere at all?

Find it here, if you're interested.

Neverwhere is one of my favorite books. And I wrote a paper about it. And that link is going to be the carrot which gets me through a really shitty day. Thank you very much!

How funny, I'm glad my rec was so appropriate! The link is on the Wayback Machine, but I also have the fic downloaded so let me know if it doesn't work for you.

In doing your paper on Neverwhere, did you come across The Sinful Ones by Fritz Leiber? I read it years before I read Neverwhere, and at first couldn't figure out why Neverwhere was so familiar. Neil Gaiman adds his own inimitable style to everything he does, but I don't think he always comes up with original plots!

I didn't actually. I'll have a look at it, though. Sounds interesting. Thanks!

OOH! OOH! I know!

Buffy lands in SPN hell after jumping off the tower.

OR

The enjoining spell in 4th season drew in some extra flotsam/jetsam that was floating around the Hellmouth and Buffy got a jolt of demon-juice (I always wondered why her eyes were that freaky color).

OR

The Master drags Buffy down from the roof when she throws him: he lands on the wooden spike, she lands on the Hellbeast - and it drags her to hell.

Need more? I have more.

Yes, please, more. None of these explain how Buffy could do a 180 that'd get her to jump in the sack with Mr. Hell himself.

Well, except for the demon one, but then it'd be Buffy!suit/Lucifer, and I don't think that counts.

Well, it was a "blending" spell - so maybe she blended with a demonic critter and lost her sense of morality? All the suggestions above were just jumping off points to get Buffy in his same physical location. After that, it becomes: does Lucifer corrupt Buffy, does Buffy heal Lucifer, or do they have one of those weird lifetime-of-my-beloved truces where neither fights for either side until the relationship is over?

Wish!verse Buffy is probably dark enough that you'd only need a slight push from seductive!Lucifer to have a pretty disturbing 'ship.

Since the prompt is "Lucifer isn't exactly sure how this happened" maybe HE'S the one doing the one-eighty. Maybe he sees something of himself in her: used ill by the PTB and left to founder, only she's still fighting for the humans. So it starts as him wanting to understand her and her not knowing who he is (remember when she met Dracula?). Something like that?

... That's workable. All of it. Somehow.

AIM? Since we both seem to be hanging around?

Do not Gollum in my direction, please. There are handy vulcanoes around, I promise you.

I'll be in that corner over there, writing. Just poke me when you've got your baby.
