Sons of Anarchy - the season two recap you might not have been waiting for.

Lo and behold, I finished it. Finally.

And if the first seaason was about fathers and sons and mothers and daughters, this one is all about justice and crime, or rather, lawman vs. outlaw.

From the get go, this season is all about what the law can't do and what the outlaws can do. The police keeps trying to get the new baddie off the streets, but it's only the club, (and Unser, who is NOT lawful) who make headways.

Stahl is back and trying to make Chibs sell out like she did with Opie and she fails again. On top of that, not only does she fail, but she's turned into the villain.

Gemma shoots a woman who helped destroy her. Stahl shoots a guy because she's too arrogant to just tie him up. And then she puts it on Gemma.

Jax avenges his mother, while the police can't do anything.

Een CPS only shows up to take away the Arian's kids after Jax calls them in.

Stahl got Donna killed while Tig, who pulled the trigger, repents and begs forgiveness. Clay and Jax can overcome their differences and work together, while Sheriff and Deputy keep clawing at each other.

Ladies and fangirls, at the end of this season, the lesson has hit home: Lawful does not mean legal and legal does not mean lawful. Sometimes the law is paralyzed while the rogue is free to enact justice.

Out antiheroes are the heroes and the heroes get dumped in favour of dirtier saints. The only reason we can marginally stand Hale these days is because he's starting to get pulled into the SAMCRO maelstrom.

Also, let's face it, "The outlaw had mercy," is one of the best fucking lines in recent TV history.

And then, in the last ep we get back on hte topic of father's an sons, as we must, and, hey, look, I'm prophetic, because the kid named ABEL gets victimized. Weeee!

Done now.

meta is a nice word for fangirling
