Sorry to spam you guys today, but I need a book rec from you.
It has to be a novel by an American women's writer, preferably something published in the eighties or roundabout there, so it matches
Oranges are not the only Fruit, which is what I picked for the British equivalent.
The books are for my oral exam on literature and since the prof has written a lot on women's writers, I want to fill my novel slots with something I know will score me a few points. Yes, I'm sucking up to teacher. No, I don't care. It's in the name of a good grade, so.
But I spent the past thirty minutes googling and was overwhelmed with the number of books out there that fit the bill. Since I have no idea what of that is legibile (turns out I have never actually read an American women's writer, only Canadian and British ones), I kinda need help. Please?
Kudos and, if you want, a drabble as a reward for a good rec.
