Rantings from the bonfire

I'm not having a great Monday. Car breaks down on the way home from corrosion-dc (that reminds me: oldsmobile_mike: Uh, help!), I got to work somehow and my Swedish is completely horrible today, furthermore, I tried to put diesel fuel into my car and complained that my credit card was being charged for diesel fuel that wasn't going into my car due to the nozzle (my car doesn't take diesel).. oh and I don't have a clue as to how to align bulleted items in Powerpoint..
What is WRONG with me??
Ok, got that out of the way:
THURSDAY:
alchemy_dc was quite cool albeit very different since it was at The Edge (the home of the late great ChiarOscuro), and smaller for some reason (or was it just me?), but the music was a bit more stompin' than normal, so that was fine by me, plus had some quality time hanging with Eddy, Marti, exquisitetrash and her gang, and of course the really quiet and reserved rotting_relic (snicker).. also got to hang with Jeff and Max while this girl Ingrid was hitting on all of us at once.. oh great to see Z as well and Slash and Tracy and getting to meet Rabbit for the first time formally.. Also saw dj_spawn and xspookykittyx and Mike from Pariah Dogs for the first time in ages..
FRIDAY:
It was very strange to be at the same church where they were having the funeral for the slain cop (and of course the CNN-inspired sensationalism that a GAWTH [no, correction, "punk-gothic type"] did the killing), but huge kudos to Markus and Marian for coming early to help with the funeral decorations, fully dressed of course.. that was just awesome! those_who_mourn study with Rick and Layla, David and Marian, Markus and Sarah, Amy, Amanda, Memory, John the Civil War reenactor and parad0cz, recaping the Beatitudes series that we did for the past few months.. Did have a good talk with Markus earlier about a certain situation that's going on that I really, really despise..
SATURDAY:
I had no motivation to do anything. Rainy, cold weather (+8C? Brrrrr), so all I did was to update my Myspace account once again (now to look for those "add me" contact list graphics..). Went to dcmidnight and had a nice time albeit fewer people than usual.. hung with Marti for some time giving him tips on his upcoming trip to London (ahh home.. *sigh*), also of course had to force rotting_relic to talk once again (snicker) and discussed musical things with violinpadraic.. saw Keyska for the first time in a while but didn't get to ask her about that Myspace situation that has bugged me a bit.. But I had fun, saw Eric and exquisitetrash and her gang (of course sadly no sign of spacechild I think he doesn't wuv me anymore *sniff* *sob*), and slyx making a sneak attack in a red polo shirt (HA! I outed you! You wear NORMAL CLOTHES muahahaha), and of course had a blast hanging out in the corner with belladonnas_web, rotting_relic, sameoldtune and verlise.. Gawths can be so silly (especially if you're Jeff)! ;)
SUNDAY:
Went to church, hung with David and Marian, Markus and Sarah, Amy, and Kevin for the first time in ages among us, and Jimmy for the first time in ages among us.. we all did our usual Fridays haunt where Rick and Layla joined us later, along with Eddy and dreammuse. Tony came later on, but because he was bringing Keith [shudder] and knowing I was already late for corrosion_dc, I bolted, leaving Eddy to hang with my gang (no worries of course!). At corrosion_dc I had my usual geek experience with Eric (and this time had my deer-caught-in-headlights moment with him, WAY over my head!), and got rescued by violinpadraic and dharmata101 about music (*Whew*).. oldsmobile_mike came later so I relayed my Gang-related greetings to him and talked about events, like FREAK DAY BOWLING.. Went home.. almost didn't because the car is now acting up again..
