I've been pretty much glued to my television since last Tuesday. The things that I've seen and heard are absolutely NOTHING compared to what New Orleans citizens have had to endure. There are no words to describe how sorry I am for these people. Sorry does absolutely nothing for them, though. I'm not gonna sit here and share with people what I've done, because I'm not looking to get praises of "oh! That was so nice of you!" I just don't believe that I need that. What I've done is between me, God, and the people who benefited from them.
Anyway...to the point of this post.
I am absolutely SICK of hearing actors, rappers, and self absorbed news reporters sit and go on and on about how these people are not being helped "because they are black".
Lisa Ling is the most racist person I have ever seen in my life. I remember always watching her on the view, complain about how white people treat other races badly. Hey Lisa, I don't see YOUR home country sending us funds in order to help, so shut the fuck up BITCH. She's just one of those people who could simply ask for a purple crayon and not get it, then start screaming "IT'S BECAUSE I'M KOREAN!! YOU'RE A RACIST!!!"
Kanye West...ha ha. He's actually kind of funny. He's gonna sit and bitch about how people aren't getting the help that they need, yet I don't see him putting himself in the flood water to help pull people out of their homes. There's plenty more that HE can do, other than just singing at "benefit concerts". In my opinion...benefit concerts are a joke anyway. No one can make me believe that ALL the money from benefit concerts go to the necessary charitable distributors.
It makes me sick to my stomach, hearing all these people say that this is all President Bush's fault. Guess what, people. Bush definatly has his faults, but I doubt that he was sitting in is oval office one day and just said "Hey...I'm bored. I think I'm gonna put a call in to Mother Nature, maybe she'll destroy New Orleans!"
These democratic politicians who are sitting around running their mouths just make me wanna put my first through the tv. They don't see this as a disaster, they see this as a way to get votes in the next election. Pfft, and they say Bush is self absorbed.
Instead of trying to figure out who to point the finger at, EVERY person needs to find a way to band together and HELP!!!
No one seems to understand that things take time. There are THOUSANDS of people in/from New Orleans. You can't just expect ALL these people to fit into ONE helicopter. Half of these people don't even WANT to be saved. It takes time and hundreds of different trips back and forth to rescue more people.
It's also extremely hard to rescue people, when you have little wanna be gang bangers (probably Kanye West fans) SHOOTING and killing people, shooting at helicopters, and even snipering the fucking hospitals! You watch these people begging for help..then hear about gang members waiting in the bathroom for little girls, it was reported that they raped and killed a 6yr old little girl btw. Honestly...why would anyone wanna help people who are doing things like this? Not just that...but you try to help someone and you have some gang member run up and take everything you've given. It's dispicable. These people absolutely have no respect for human life at all, yet they'll sit and call everyone RACISTS!
Urgh..this post could go on forever.
