(no subject)
So... It's been a while since I last posted and I know I should have but I've been BUSY BUSY BUSY. Busy with trying to get things settled for school and busy with a bunch of other stuff...
So here's what I did for this summer (only highlights of that month):
MAY highlights:
- mostly worked on cosplay* for Anime North - my friends and I did a group cosplay of Soul Calibur IV the fighting sim (Talim: me, Amy: Krystal, Yun Seong: Aaron, Tira: Jaimie, Random guy: Xian, Not pictured: Lynn)
- we won Honourable Mention for Humour, we did a funny skit about SCIV and were also judged on our costumes. It was AWESOME to win an award 2 consecutive years in a row :D
*(note): I'd like to thank Ohno Satoshi and Ikuta Toma for keeping Jaimie and awake during our costume making. If it weren't for Maou, we wouldn't have been able to have those all-nighters :p
JUNE highlights:
- Went to see Miyavi Live in Concert. First Japanese concert I've been to. I'm not a HUGE fan of Miyavi. At best I like a handful of his songs but on-stage he has this magnetic pull that you can't resist even if you're not that into him. It was a total blast though. Lynn, Aaron and I went to see him and got right up to the third row! I swear I could almost touch him..(if it weren't for the barricades lol) no pictures of him though.. he wouldn't let us.. BOOO
- beach volleyball, watched movies, drinking parties
JULY highlights:
- we went CAMPING!!! to Algonquin park. SUPER FUN. We saw lions and tigers and bears OH MY! well... a BABY bear :) a snapping turtle, chipmunks, raccoons and a bunch of other stuff... canoeing, mountain climbing, campfires, smores, burgers, hikes, swimming.. fun fun fun :D
AUGUST highlights
- FanEXPO 2010 Aaron and Xian dressed as Ghost and NPC I acted as camerawoman dressed as a yanki
- clubbing, girls night out, drinking parties, karaoke
- end of the summer party (that happened in September I'm I'm counting it in August so BAH)
did everything this summer... sooo FUN
