I'm doing better, this last little while... I'm actually doing decent stuff at work, even though I'm finding the academic roots of the software grating at times

Yeah, I know, I've loved Placebo instantly when I heard Pure Morning, so long ago. I remember exactly where I was when I first heard it! And this is the first I buy!
OCD is the name of the store, officially standing for "Occasions CD", but when I asked the clerk about it, he told me that the owner studied in the US, so it possible he had the play on acronyms on his mind... I thought it clever, myself. :-)
Reminds me of a scene from "High Fidelity", as Dick just entered Rob's apartment:
Dick: I guess it looks as if you're reorganizing your records. What is this though? Chronological? Rob: No... Dick: Not alphabetical... Rob: Nope... Dick: What? Rob: Autobiographical. Dick: No fucking way.
After some more listening, the opening track to "Sleeping With Ghosts", "Bulletproof Cupid", has me hooked pretty solid. It has this amazing energy reminding me of Joy Division's "Something Must Break", I'm guessing it must be mind-blowing live!
But I still need more to tame them, or to let them tame me. It's the same with Einstürzende Neubauten and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds: at first, I'm skeptical at best, wondering why I'm wasting my money at worst, but just look at the numbers!
I love that song. I'd say my current one is "Meds" but it's mainly because of the lyrics...
...Then again placebo's an almost creepy band for me. I had a very bad breakup on May 2nd, and what do I hear? "We're running out of alibis/From the 2nd of May"....Hah.
I get the last piece of hardware I need for the server to work tomorrow. Musification soon ;)
For me, it's EN. Sometimes, when I'm being an idiot (and this isn't new, I shouldn't make an habit out of it!), or sometimes it's "mock EN" that just comes to me (but really, they could have played that song!). Or the way I drink and sing and dance when I go out (ask blacksquiggles about my dancing!).
And I'm sorry, but Grundstück (the one on "Perpetuum Mobile") is perfectly danceable! :-P
I have the whole discography. :)
(what do you mean, ocd? ;)
nice play on words/acronyms there...)

I love it.
Soon I will put the errorist-source ftp server online and you will see the extent of my OCDness in regards to music... Eeek.
It lives in a 2tb RAID right now.
It scaaaaaaaaares me. *grins*
What's your favorite placebo song?

I haven't learned to the full albums enough to decide of a proper favourite yet. From those I heard before, I really liked "Every Me Every You".
