Flown in by the delightful Capitaine Mouillebouche (mouth wetter!),
azrhey and I landed in Paris (actually, Airport Charles de Gaulle in Roissy) on schedule. What isn't on schedule is our next hop, that will take us to Toulouse.
As a welcome to me, France decided to have a mini-strike of something or other related to airplanes, so at 10:00, the status screens at the airport were saying "boarding at 9:40, on time". Well done. When we finally boarded, a bit more than an hour later, we were told, once seated, that 13 passengers were missing, so that their luggage had to be taken off the plane. Damn.
Thankfully, our contact in Toulouse was there when we arrived, and while he had to go back to work and couldn't show us the apartment, he had a map and figured out the shuttle bus for us, so we managed pretty easily.
Ah, delightfully narrow streets, with the pretty old buildings everywhere, and the new buildings usually integrating well. The girls are pretty too, so it's a good sign!
Feeling a bit sick in the throat and rather exhausted now, so the rest of my day was a bit hard (had to stay up to avoid being jet lagged). Did a little walkabout and took some photos which I can't seem to be able to upload. I'll hunt for some Internet connectivity tomorrow and send them over.
Had dinner with
azrhey, before heading back home rather earlyish and crashing.
