I'd thought of doing my epic-cascade-of-fail day on D Gully Buttress last year, but it's hard to fit into the format.
[Don't think I ever told you about that - we got confused in the mist, started up the wrong ridge, saw some signs that we were in the wrong place but ignored them because oh look, there are people on this ridge below us, moved too slowly and got stuck on the crux, the other guys caught us up and revealed that they were following us, they got stuck on the crux too, we all started abseiling, the sun went down, one guy's wife started calling him to ask where he was, he dropped his belay device, the rope got tangled, the guy's wife started getting other members of his family to call him, it got really fricking cold, we eventually finished abseiling and commenced the nontrivial walk-out, we eventually got back to the road at about 2330, and had to run back to the youth hostel before it shut for the night at midnight. Fun fun fun. We later looked up D Gully Buttress on UKClimbing.com, and almost every logbook entry said "Tried to climb Curved Ridge but got lost..."]
