Fonts for Arda

Tolkien Fonts
There are several places to get good fonts for Arda, but I had little luck getting them to behave on the Mac.

searching on "tolkien" at dafont will bring up an interesting selection of fonts. I like these:

first order

Ringbearer - the LoTR poster font

this is angerthas moria. search for runes or angerthas. They also have a font called runenglish that works well on icons.

There are good tengwar fonts at dafont. I like their SIndar best, especially at small sizes, but the also have Noldor, Quenya, Teleri, Annatar, Cursive, Gandalf if you search for "tengwar" as well as a script called "elvish ring."

there is a dingbat font called The One Ring if you are looking to add a graphic touch or make brush images

I like so many from the Scriptorium I'm not sure I could list them, but check out the master font list - especially for good Arcane, Celtic and Hand fonts

and if you want an english script that looks elvish on an icon or banner, Droston tells me: "zapfino is the new tengwar"
