I'm not sure how this came up, but recently the issue of dating, girls, and the like have come up (I surmise this is probably just something between Darren and me). While I'm always happy to meet someone, it's currently not on my "priority" list. For some reason though, I feel like I'm suddenly surrounded by all sorts of "dating" related things. I somehow stumbled onto Match.com and started browsing for single females in the area (nothing really special there, so I really won't go into it). Also, as I've been listening to the radio a lot these days, I'm hearing all these ads about dating in Chicago and meeting singles, blah blah blah. But more significantly, and actually, fairly humorous, is this program that starts up at 8 pm every night on WTMX 101.9 The Mix called "
Mix n' Match," where either a bachelor or bachelorette goes into the studio and talks about themselves, while three singles of the opposite sex are on the phonelines calling in and talking about themselves, etc. Basically, it's kind of like a gameshow of sorts. In any case, I found it slightly amusing to listen to some of the people's answers to the various questions the bachelor would give. For some reason, it got me thinking on what it would be like if I got on the show, either as the contestant or one of the bachelors that calls in. Tonight, the contestant happened to be a bachelorette that sounded fairly cute over the radio. But she said she liked tattoos and had 7, so that kind of turned me off. Also, as I was listening to the radio while I was waiting for the shuttle to go back home, I bumped into an old prof from the Evanston campus, so I didn't get to hear more of what happened (you can see the results and pics though on the website). Any recommendations of certain bachelorettes that you think I should call in on (see website)? Hah... Anyway, that is all.
