-Chal started off as a starry eyed youth with big plans for the military. Though he's a little jaded at this point, there's still some of that youthful enthusiasm that shines through at the opportune moments.
-Chal was born and grew up in times of strife. The area he lived in was basically in an eternal winter due to the A'etherians and Dycroft. Due to this, he harbors a secret burning desire to travel. Being with Leon and being able to travel around the world (because of the military and the mission to retrieve the God's Eye) was an experience like no other to him.
-He actually loves traveling by sea but refuses to let it show because Leon is prone to motion sickness. :(
